Safe Mode boots with the minimum set of programs. It will not run most programs you installed yourself.

Safe Mode may be useful to remove a program you recently installed and that misbehaves.

To boot into Safe Mode:

1. turn power off
2. turn power on
3. as soon as the logo comes up, press Volume-up and Volume down together until Safe Mode appears at the bottom of the screen
4. remove any recently installed application that you suspect might be causing a problem
5. reboot the device normally
